Game Recap

The Thunderbirds left it all out on the field, but ultimately saw their great season come to an end in a penalty shoot out. Edsel Ford had plenty of chances to open a lead in the first half, but fell behind late when a Fordson header found the back of the net. Senior Salman Sufyan brought the Thunderbirds level with an early second half penalty, and the game was played to a draw until the fateful shootout.

Thank you to all the players and fans who have made this such an exciting season. The Thunderbirds will continue flying high into the future.

Game Recap

It was a special night at Edsel Ford, as this group of seniors earned their first career win against Dearborn and sent the Thunderbirds through to the next round of the district playoffs. It was an evenly matched, hard fought game, with the Thunderbirds earning most of the chances early. Senior Luqman Hamid gave Edsel the lead right before the half, only to watch the Pioneers convert a free kick of their own before the break. Both teams played to a draw through overtime, and the Thunderbirds had ice in their veins in the shootout as they converted all of their attempts.

Next up is Fordson on Wednesday.
