The team lost a heart-breaker in the second round of districts against host Detroit Western by the score of 64-60 in overtime. Senior guard, Jalal Baydoun led the team with 21 points in the devastating loss. Jalal also added seven assists, seven steals, and four rebounds to end his illustrious career. He ended his career as the all-time leading scorer in Dearborn Public School history with 1,583 career points. For the season, Jalal averaged 26.2 points/ game, 6.2 rebounds, 5.5 assists,and 3.2 steals. He led the team in assists and steals the past four years and was the leading scorer the past three years. Also, senior forward, Cooper Leisenring added 15 points, making five three-pointers. The five seniors, Jalal Baydoun, Nicholas Diebolt, Hakeem Fitahey, Cooper Leisenring, and Maxwell Marion played in their final game. This fine group of young men led the team to the second winningest season in school history, finishing the season with a 17-5 record and a second place finish in the Downriver League.
